I want to get a sports nutrition certification so I can up my knowledge for my own uses, I need to lose about 100 pounds, so this will benefit me more than any clients I might get.

I'd say consider what you want to achieve with it, before committing. If your objective is money, you may want to reconsider. If not, go for it.

Where did you get your certification? Should I do nutrition as well as personal training?

What about sports nutrition certification? Do you have to get recertified every year?
