I’ve had so many people disagree with me on this, I’ve even seen some people vomit. Europeans hadn’t traveled that far from Europe yet during the lifetime of Jesus or before.

He was a 1st century Judean Jew, that is pretty much all we got regarding what he may have looked like. So we can assume somewhat tanned but definitely not black. I don't see how it matters however. The body is but a shell, a vehicle.
Let's not get all weird about race etc, but focus on the good news message.
